We are hiring: Office Manager (Maternity Cover)

SPEY is on the look out for an experienced office manager with a positive can-do attitude. If you are a master at multi-tasking, business admin and can help to keep our office/jungle plants alive, this is the job for you. This is a temporary maternity leave position, for an initial period of 6 months.

As Office Manager (maternity cover), your job responsibilities will include:

  • Office administration and events assistance
  • Manage agency task management system
  • Support to Financial Controller with regard to expenditure, bills and budgets processing
  • Preparation for pitches, client meetings and ad hoc tasks
  • Organisation of travel arrangements where required
  • Organise desk/office space/moves and IT requirements for new SPEY members
  • Managing relationships with suppliers, negotiating and getting us the best deals
  • Organisation of maintenance and keeping the office in good working order
  • Business administration/management and IT
  • Human resource administration
  • Support to Managing Partner with some PA duties
  • Manage the welcome area including the phones and meeting room, as the first point contact for clients and guests visiting the agency
  • Keep all our plants alive

Hours

Equivalent of 2.5 days/week, with flexibility over the split of hours over days

This is a temporary maternity leave position, for an initial period of 6 months from August 10th 2020.

Salary

Dependent on experience

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications:

You may have great experience already or/as well as qualifications in any of the following subjects:

  • Business administration/business management
  • Computing and information technology
  • Human resource management
  • Management
  • Public administration

What you’ll need:

  • Experience in a similar role within a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work on own initiative and juggle a multitude of tasks
  • Business administration/management skills
  • Positive, approachable and unflappable attitude
  • Excellent IT skills (we only use macs)
  • Experience of using QuickBooks an advantage
  • Trustworthy and discrete
  • Human resource management
  • Proactive approach to planning ahead and addressing issues
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Dog and family friendly office, so liking dogs and children is a must!
