Malt Whisky Trail Wins Highlands & Islands ‘Working Together In Tourism’ Award
Great news! Our client, the Malt Whisky Trail, which is run by Spey, was named the winner of the Working Together in Tourism award category at the 2017 Highlands & Islands Tourism Awards ceremony at The Drumossie Hotel in Inverness (Friday 3rd November 2017).
James Johnston, Chairman of The Malt Whisky Trail, commented:
“We are very honoured to have won this year’s Working Together in Tourism award from the Highlands & Islands Tourism Awards, coming up against some outstanding competition.
We are proud that our “Team Moray Speyside” approach to promoting The Malt Whisky Trail has been recognised, as we strive to promote the ultimate Scotch Whisky experience and all the great attractions that the region has to offer.
The Malt Whisky Trail is an international icon of whisky tourism and features nine centres of whisky excellence across some of Scotland’s most beautiful landscapes. As the only Malt Whisky Trail in the world, we are working to position it as a global ambassador for the whisky industry and the region, geared towards increasing visitor footfall to the area by 10% over the next 4 years. To do that, collaboration is key and we will continue by engaging further with businesses, organisations and tourism enterprises across the region – and beyond.
The ultimate Scotch Whisky experience is not just about whisky, but rather all the unique opportunities that make Moray Speyside so special.”
